On the morning of October 29, Chen Chuxin, member of the Party Leadership Group and deputy director-general of Fujian Provincial Foreign Affairs Office (the Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Fujian Province), led a team of seven people, including Yan Si, director of the Official Overseas Visits Management Division, and Cai Wenzhi, director of the Asian Affairs Division, to visit FNU for research. Lai Hairong, vice president of FNU, and relevant responsible persons of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, College of Mathematics and Informatics, College of Chinese Language and Literature, International College of Chinese Studies, College of Sociology and History, the Indonesian Studies Center and the Philippine Studies Center of FNU, participated in the research.
Chen Chuxin affirmed our school’s achievements in internationalized education and country studies, and its role in working for the diplomacy with neighboring countries. He also exchanged ideas with relevant people about the demands of college personnel going abroad, the difficulties they have encountered, the problems with the procedures of applying for going abroad temporarily on business and how to simplify and optimize the procedures, and said that they will further improve the internationalized exchange and cooperation service for universities.
Lai Hairong introduced the basic situation of our school's foreign cooperation and exchanges, expressed his appreciation to Fujian Provincial Foreign Affairs Office for its strong support in promoting our school's foreign exchanges and cooperation, and said that FNU will continue to implement various measures to constantly improve the school's internationalized education level. Heads of relevant functional departments, colleges, and centers conducted in-depth exchanges on related issues with the visiting staff members of Fujian Provincial Foreign Affairs Office.
