The conference was held from November 17th to 19th in Fuzhou, co-hosted by FNU, University of Technology Sydney, Australia, University of Ulster, United Kingdom, and Southwest Jiaotong University, and jointly undertaken by College of Computer and Cyber Security, the Digital Fujian Big Data Security Technology Institute, the Fujian Provincial Engineering Technology Research Center for Public Service Big Data Mining and Application, and the Fujian Provincial Universities Engineering Technology Research Center for Big Data Analysis and Application. The conference welcomed over 100 experts and scholars in the field of intelligent systems and knowledge engineering from more than 20 countries, including Professor Luis Martínez López from University of Jaén, Spain, Professor Xu Yang and Professor Li Tianrui from Southwest Jiaotong University, and Professor Li Zhong from FernUniversität, Germany.
FNU Vice President Wu Jianfeng attended and addressed the opening ceremony. He expressed his warm congratulations on the successful convening of the conference on behalf of FNU and his hope that FNU will use the opportunity to conduct exchanges of ideas and interactions of wisdom with experts and scholars worldwide, and share academic insights and research findings to contribute more wisdom and strength to writing a new chapter for the development of the field of intelligent systems and knowledge engineering and moving faster to boost China’s strength in cyberspace and digital development.
Professor Zheng Yu, Vice President of JD Group, Professor Wu Dongrui from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Professor Zhang Nian from University of the District of Columbia were invited to address the conference. 13 parallel sessions were organized for discussions and exchanges centering around topics such as practical applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and knowledge engineering, and logical computing and AI.
