Optica recently announced its 2024 Fellow Class, with 129 exceptional scientists from 26 countries elected, and Professor Tan Xiaodi from FNU College of Photonic and Electronic Engineering was among them.
In 2019, Professor Tan Xiaodi was elected as SPIE (International Society for Optical Engineering) Fellow. The latest election as Optica Fellow made him the first in Fujian Province, who was elected as a fellow of two top international societies in optical technology.
Optica (formerly OSA), founded in 1916, is an authoritative academic organization in the international optical field. The Society is dedicated to promoting the development, application and dissemination of knowledge in optics and photonics worldwide. Being recognized as Optica Fellows is the highest academic honor awarded by Optica to experts in the field of optics in recognition of their significant contributions to the advancement of optics and photonics.
