On November 11, Fujian Province and the State of Ceara of Brazil jointly held the Higher Education Cooperation Exchange Meeting through live streaming. More than 50 persons participated including Mr. Yan Yuqing, Chinese Consul General in Recife, Ms. Huang Shaorong, Deputy Director of Foreign Affairs Office of Fujian Province, Mr. Wang Shao, Deputy Director-general of the Education Department of Fujian Province, Mr. Fernandez, Deputy Director-general of the Education Department of the State of Ceara, Mr. Ahuba, Director-general of the Department of Science, Technology and Higher Education of the State of Ceara, Mr. Albuquerque, President of the Federal University of Ceara, Mr. Su Jianhua, Chinese Dean of the Confucius Institute at the Federal University of Ceara, Mr. Amorim, Brazilian Dean of the Confucius Institute, Mr. Suarez, President of the State University of Ceara and representatives of universities including FNU in Fujian Province.
On behalf of FNU, Chen Qinghua, Vice President of FNU, introduced the school’s achievements on schooling running, focusing on the subject of mathematics in FNU. He hoped to carry out extensive and in-depth exchanges and cooperation with the Federal University of Ceara in Brazil in the fields of teaching, academic research and talent training to pursue cooperation and common development and work together to embark on a new chapter of cultural exchanges and mutual learning between China and Brazil.
It is reported that 2021 marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of sister provinces between Fujian Province and Brazil's State of Ceara. This meeting was jointly organized by the Foreign Affairs Office of Fujian Province, the Department of Education of Fujian Province and the Chinese Consulate General in Recife.
