The 2021 National Mass Innovation and Entrepreneurship Week, with the theme of High-quality Innovation and High-level Entrepreneurship and Employment, was held from October 19 to 25. The event was held both online and offline at its main venue of Zhengzhou, capital of Henan Province, with five exhibition areas and 144 projects selected across the country for themed exhibitions.
Through rigorous selections, the start-up project from College of Fine Arts of FNU, named “Lacquerware: Let Chinese Lacquer into Life”, was showcased by invitation at the main venue as one of the representative projects of the Exhibition Area of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Boosting both Quality and Quantity of Employment, and synchronously displayed in the online virtual exhibition hall of CCTV Network in such forms as virtual reality, and online live broadcast. This is the first time FNU has participated in the themed exhibitions of this event. The project has won the Excellence Award of the 7th China Youth Innovation and entrepreneurship Competition, the Bronze Award of Fujian “Internet +” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, and the Second Prize of Fujian Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.
It’s reported that the National Mass Innovation and Entrepreneurship Week was established by the State Council in 2015. Organized by the National Development and Reform Commission, with a different theme in October every year, the annual event aims to create a good social atmosphere for innovation and entrepreneurship, bring together various elements of entrepreneurship and innovation for better exchanges, boost a new wave of entrepreneurship and innovation, pool wisdom and strength for innovation-driven development, and promote innovation and entrepreneurship on a larger scale, at a higher level and at a deeper level by conducting such activities as policy publicity in different places, exhibitions, experience exchange, information release, cultural dissemination, interaction and docking, investment and trading, and achievement transformation.
