From October 12th to15th, the National Finals of the 7th China International “Internet +” College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held at Nanchang University. A total of 14 projects of FNU were shortlisted for the national finals, of which 4 projects entered the on-site finals. FNU finally won 1 gold, 3 silver and 7 bronze awards, with the total number of medals reaching a record high. Among them, the project Walking Textbook: the World’s First Digital Museum of the Diaoyu Islands of China won the gold award, which was the first time FNU won the gold award of the Youth Red Dreaming Building Journey” track in the Internet + College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. Three projects won the silver awards, including CTC High-speed Screening System: Early Tumor Catcher, and 3D Visualization and Navigation System of Mixed Reality Holographic Medical Image of the College of Photonic and Electronic Engineering, and Earth Security Guard: Core Assistant for Water Conservancy Construction of Smart City of the School of Economics, and 7 projects of College of Life Science, won the bronze awards, including Collier: Rare Earth Ore Tail Water Treatment Pioneer.
It is reported that this competition, focusing on the special time point of the centenary of the Party, the strategic starting point for entering a new development stage, and the special place for holding the competition in the old revolutionary base areas for the first time, and centering around the goals of Being More Chinese, More International, More Educational, More Comprehensive and More Innovative, has attracted 2.28 million projects and 9.56 million people from 121 countries and regions and 4347 schools at home and abroad.
During the preparation for the competition and the finals, Liu Jian, deputy director of Fujian Provincial Department of Education (leading role of the department), school leaders and people in charge of related units expressed concerns to the participating teachers and students many times, encouraging them to fight bravely and calmly and resolutely, give full play to the school's professional advantages and talent training characteristics, and demonstrate the school's adherence to the original aspiration of strengthening moral education and cultivating people through innovation and entrepreneurship, and the mission of educating people for the Party and talents for the country.
