On November 28, the Second Cross-Strait Humanities Forum for Graduates and Post-Doctors,hosted by the Office of the Provincial Degree Committee and organized by FNU, held in the Science Hall of Cangshan Campus, FNU. Xu Fuchang, deputy dean of the College of Liberal Arts, National Taiwan University (NTU), Fu Wuguang, former director of the Department of Chinese, National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU), Wang Wending, former vice president of FNU, and heads of the Graduate School and the College of Chinese Language and Literature of FNU, attended the opening ceremony.
The forum, with the theme of Inheriting and Developing the International Vision and Practical Innovation of Chinese Excellent Traditional Culture, attracted 93 graduate students and post-doctor students from nearly 20 universities on both sides of the Strait, such as: NTU, NTNU, National Central University (NCU), Shih Chien University (USC), Yuan Ze University, National Pingtung University of Education (NPUE), National Yunlin University of Science and Technology (NYUST), University of Taipei (UT), National Taipei University of Education (NTUE), Xiamen University, Huaqiao University, JiMei University, Minnan Normal University, Chongqing Normal University (CQNU), Hainan Normal University (HNNU) and FNU. A total of 75 high-level academic papers were received and among them, 2 papers won the first prize, 4 the second prize and 6 the third prize.
Cross-Strait graduate students conducted academic discussions on the inheritance and development of China's excellent traditional culture from international perspectives and practical innovation through expert keynote reports, group discussions, and table discussions. Participants said that young people on both sides of the strait should strengthen their cultural self-confidence, maintain the common spiritual homeland, continue their struggle in fulfilling the mission of youth, forge ahead in the development of Chinese culture, and build glory in the process of realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
