On March 22nd, Chen Qinghe, president of Taiwan Shih Hsin University (SHU), Li Gongqin, vice president of SHU, and Lin Xuezhen, director of SHU Cross-Strait Affairs Office, visited FNU, together with Pan Huibin, vice president of Shanghai Sanda University. Tu Rong, deputy secretary of FNU Party Committee, met with the guests, with heads of Taiwan-Hong Kong-Macao Affairs Office, School of Communication, College of Cultural Tourism & Public Administration, and College of International Education present.
Tu Rong said that FNU and SHU have maintained friendly and cooperative ties for long and steadily promoted the joint talent training program of Fujian and Taiwan, which has achieved good school-running effects and social feedback. In the future, FNU will further leverage its strengths, integrate resources of disciplines, talents, and scientific research, and keep deepening and expanding areas of cooperation and exchange to contribute more to the integrated development of higher education of Fujian and Taiwan, Tu said.
Chen Qinghe said that SHU and FNU have conducted deep collaborative education and frequent communication between teachers and students, and hoped that the universities will continue to maintain effective communication and close cooperation, and make contributions to the integrated development of higher education of Fujian and Taiwan through the joint talent training program.
At the meeting, both sides had in-depth discussions about such issues as further enhancing the quality of the collaborative education of Fujian and Taiwan and creating new communicating models for their future cooperation.
