On the morning of September 17, Lai Hairong, vice President of FNU, met with Prof. Takanori Nomura from Wakayama University, Japan, and they conducted extensive exchanges on further strengthening friendly cooperation between China and Japan in such fields as culture, education, and scientific research. Leaders from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, and Prof. Tan Xiaodi from the College of Photonic and Electronic Engineering, attended the meeting.
During the meeting, Lai Hairong, on behalf of FNU, extended a warm welcome to Prof. Takanori Nomura, and briefly introduced the recent scientific research of the school. They also exchanged views on issues such as the cooperation in the frontier science fields between the two universities, the exchange of teaching and research personnel and students. Prof. Takanori Nomura sincerely thanked FNU for the hospitality and signed a school-level cooperation agreement with our school on behalf of Wakayama University.
After the meeting, Prof. Takanori Nomura gave an academic report, titled Phase imaging in-line digital holography with random phase modulation in Fourier domain, to teachers and students of the College of Photonic and Electronic Engineering.
Prof. Takanori Nomura is a fellow of the Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE) and editor-in-chief of Optical Review, an international peer-reviewed journal published by the Optical Society of Japan.
