Recently, at the invitation of the Cross-straits Center of Guoxue (Sinology), 23 people from College of Foreign Languages (CFL) of FNU, including undergraduates, postgraduates and foreign teachers, went to Pingtan Island to attend the 3rd Cross-straits Youth Sinology Study Camp, which was part of the 2nd Cross-straits Sinology Forum. During the 5-day camp, the students from CFL and young people from Taiwan studied Chinese traditional culture together, conducted a series of activities about splendid traditional etiquette, digital sinology, tea art, Peking Opera, paper cutting and the creation of Peking Opera masks, took part in the opening ceremony of the 2nd Cross-straits Sinology Forum & Guoxue Original Vlog Competition, and listened to the thematic speeches made by cross-straits sinology experts on the spot. Besides, the participants went to some villages on Pingtan Island, such as Shangpan Village and Beigang Village, and joined in the cultural study tour activities of visiting Archaeological Research Base of South Island Language Family, Beigang Wenchuang Village, Aoqian Taiwan-Style Town, and so on.
