On December 29, FNU successfully held the 2020 Annual Technical Committee Meeting of Engineering Research Center for Industrial Microbiology of Ministry of Education (MOE), National and Local Joint Engineering Research Center for the Fermentation Technology of Industrial Microbiology, and Province and Ministry Co-Sponsored Collaborative Innovation Center for Haixi Green Biological Manufacturing Technology (Hereinafter referred to as “the Engineering Center”). Academician Deng Zixin, director of the Engineering Center Technical Committee, Principal Investigator Tao Yong, Prof. Sun Yuhui, Principal Investigator Wu Qiaqing, Prof. Guo Meijin, Prof. Lou Wenyong, Prof. Deng Xianming, senior engineers Huang Jinming and Lai Tanping, and other expert members of the Committee, Chen Qinghua, vice president of FNU, heads of the Office of Science and Technology and the Engineering Center, the party and administrative leaders of College of Life Science and relevant teachers attended the meeting. Chen Qinghua delivered a speech on behalf of FNU and awarded letters of appointment to the expert members.
The head of the Engineering Center reported what it focuses on, its social contributions and future directions. The participating committee members fully affirmed the achievements made by the Engineering Center, conscientiously discussed such issues as its developmental strategic planning and results incubation operation management mechanism, and offered guiding opinions on its future construction, discipline construction combined with development mechanisms, talent training and international exchanges and so on.
